I guess it’s probably just experience. I didn’t (don’t) have a choice most of the time, so I figured out what works. Dunno what to tell you.

This is the nice version, I could say “shut the fuck up if you have the option/ability to be around people you like” if I wanted to be resentful.

So when I say I’m writing fan fiction with the names changed or whatever, to me that’s a really meaningful thing. In my head there’s like a map of all these connections that I draw meaning from and I want to create something new from those linkages to express my ideas…

forgive me if this makes no sense but: ruminating on connections like this is a lot of the fun for me with all my pop culture nonsense and I’ve realized I struggle so much to put into words maybe because fiction is a more natural language for me than analysis or criticism?
