LAWSUIT UPDATE RE: NATIONAL GUARD IN PORTLAND: The Ninth Circuit just granted an administrative stay preserving the status quo: the Oregon National Guard remains federalized but the president cannot deploy them.

We got a second temporary restraining order last night, pausing the president’s attempts to deploy National Guard to Oregon. The president keeps trying to find workarounds.

Late tonight, a federal judge issued a sweeping new order prohibiting the president from deploying any National Guard forces—from any state or DC—to Oregon.

The president cannot keep playing whack-a-mole with different states’ Guard units to get around court orders and the rule of law.

No. Say “In a survey of 1200 people, 25% say they did xyz.” This does not mean “25% of all US adults did xyz” it means 300 people surveyed said they do xyz. Implicit in surveys like this is the assumption that everyone is the same, not to mention unbiased and truthful.

I've just completed my #AirPodsPro3 active noise cancellation test: Vacuum cleaner (about 81 dB according to my watch).

Results:
- AirPods Pro 2: really good
- AirPods Pro 3: really good

Verdict:
It's a wash. Subjectively, the 3's seem a bit quieter, but not 2x.

I bought the #AirPodsPro3 for the live translation feature. I just found out it's an iPhone Pro feature, not an AirPods feature. It doesn't work on my 13 or my iPad pro.

#Apple also forgot to mention that live translation works with my AirPods Pro 2, so I didn't need to buy the Pro 3's at all. :/

The hassle to return this is almost more than the cost. Moral: if you make useless garbage, you can still make a profit if it's so cheap that people won't return it.
