Archaeology is one of the best degrees for onward employment. Lots of transferable skills from mapping and geology to ethics and osteology plus team working which employers find important - also we have a huge heritage sector. #Canterbury

My UG student did a project on this and the result showed people were very positive about keeping archaeological remains for study and display as long as treated with respect. She presented it at Babao at Keele 🤩

In an early medieval grave at Gültlingen a warrior was buried with a gold hilt spatha (sword) - a status symbol that displays his high rank - and a ‘Spangenhelm‘. Helmets like this were part of the equipment of the late Roman army. Not only the helmet was...🧵1/2
