It’s like I have entered a parallel timeline/world here in Tulsa, OK. The delayed time for electronics to respond. Like how it feels coming from land where you have to drive due to distance compared to New York City, its zoom walking pace on the streets. It’s the reverse here in our hotel.

It’s not a matter of ignoring the gaslighting but more so choosing who I serve through the work I do. Services and support are still needed and providing the idiocracy constant attention takes away focus from the work.

My brother and I have been trying to connect. I called him earlier and he texts back “Ok, I got your message. Sorry I was trying to tie up one of the lambs balls lol”. He’s a Navajo rancher so I believe it. 😆

From time to time I see job postings with listed salary ranges for higher education positions across areas. It has me aware how woefully underpaid I was in those former systems I existed in. Plus having to fundraise for my own position and services for students with each institution. I hustled.

You might not know but for every place they tagged on a map with a colonizer name, tribes named those sites with our languages prior to those who immigrated here and still refer to it by those original names. People and ideology of most are temporary spots in time, our beliefs are time immemorial.

If you haven’t had the “opportunity” to read the memo issued by Matthew J. Vaeth OMB titled “Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs”. It’s real world dystopian 💩 that is happening. They backtracked on this for now. But gear up for what more will be coming.
