It's quite short and pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Less 'I need a drink' inducing than the NSS, though that might be just the result of infinitely low expectations.

It really is symptomatic of a complete lack of seriousness on the part of the Secretary for Business and Trade.

I'm not necessarily talking about this directly with the public. But I do want to see serious action, which will be publicly noticeable by its nature.

In the meantime a serious discussion about our role in the world and the threats we face wouldn't go amiss in the UK.

Its not about 'accelerating' a break. Its putting the actions in place to start a greater Europeanisation of NATO (and/or strengthening alternative structures), a divestment from reliance on the US, and psychologically prepping elites who have been brought up in a Americophile security culture.

Indeed, but I'd like to see some concrete action amongst many of the European nations (UK most of all) to actively plan strategically for a future in which this sort of activity is normalised, rather than treating it as an abberation to endure each time.

I'm very much of the opinion that we need to stop calling everything new that flies through the air a 'drone' or, worse, an 'effector' (vomit) and just use classic terminology.
