I think it depends on the interests of each person. Some are totally fine with watching movies as they release on streaming while others can’t part with the movie-going experience and are willing to make a trip for it.

Exactly! For 4 years I lived about 35-40 min from the nearest theater. I went all the time. And i definitely drive further to get to an IMAX for movies that warranted it (Interstellar, Avengers, Gravity, etc).
People still love the movie going experience and will make the drive!
