I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure high-speed rail in China is essentially defense spending. If you can move troops around faster then you can better defend your borders.
The US is essentially an island so High-Speed rail is pretty unnecessary for defense.

We need to formalize non normative methods of typing like owo-speek, and make new accessible spellchecks for them.
We need fucking anything to break out of these 500+ years of stagnancy we've been stuck in with written English since the printing press.

Big part of why all these game studios are coming out with ridiculous statements of "oh yeah, we use generative AI, but not for anything important!" is because they know consumers hate AI but investors want to hear the studio is using AI, and they're trying to please both
