It feels worth emphasizing that these websites being taken down aren’t some federal worker’s hobby, or an agency’s side project.

They exist as matters of policy, some directly mandated in law, some through government contracts.

Taking them down is fundamentally illegitimate and autocratic.

Many students hesitate to come to office hours because they don't know what to say. I've started explicitly asking all students to attend at least once and providing sentence starters—it's made a big difference in increasing participation.
