One of the problems of post-post-modernity is that we have constructed a social world where knowledge of the sciences and industry is thoroughly mediated through the interests of techno-hucksters whose personal wealth is dependent on attempting to hyperstition a market for their products
I was dissuaded from pursuing a computer science degree in 2004 because I was repeatedly told "all the coding jobs will be outsourced to India by the time you graduate."
