(8/8) PIRC will continue to share updates on instagram and whatsapp as the situation develops. Remember: in scary times, rumors can fly quickly and cause unnecessary fear throughout our communities. By sharing verified information, calling the hotline, and showing up for each other, we keep us safe.

(7/8) Don’t forget: There is a network of people prepared to support you if anything happens. In our state, our neighbors, our schools, and our elected officials are all ready to respond and show up for immigrant Oregonian families.

(2/8) We do not yet know if those agents are here for immigration enforcement, to continue federal police attacks on protesters, both, or something else. What we do know is that this is scary news - and, there are things we can all do to prepare and keep ourselves and each other safe.

Rafael had just received shoulder surgery and ICE reinjured him when they violently detained Caballero. ICE wants him out of the country so they aren't held accountable. He is a father of six kids with a child with special needs.his family asks the public to help advocate for more time.
