That's not how culture works. Blacks' contributions are woven into US culture & are inseparable from it, even if this generation of creators went on strike. It would be an interesting experiment that would hurt Black artists, etc, & in the end, you'd just see more people consuming AI simulations

The War on Drugs is the template for police state terror, has been for many decades. I'm sure the current ICE playbook is largely drawn from WoD methods.

It's a fake story! Use Snopes to check stuff you find online. That's online smarts 101. Don't minimize the real cruelty & horror of US healthcare by posting crap.

I expect the fossils will be tagged with spray paint &/or chipped away in the near future.

I dislike yellowjackets bc they chew up apples on my tree. (Note: yellowjackets are omnivores; they may consume nectar from flowers, but they're more scavengers than pollinators) Since I don't spray chemicals, I've resigned myself to cutting around the deep excavations they make into the fruit.

Donald's waistline & shoulders are way over 36 inches. That's a no-brainer. No portable CT for him.

That whole mess always makes me think of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs"..."generals gather like black masses" etc. The power brokers are invested in war, the poor people suffer the consequences

I'm with you. I didn't mean to get into specifics about Gaza/Israel. My point is just that discouraged/oppressed/hopeless people often act in ways that seem politically "stupid" (my word!) but in fact reflect realities on the ground in ways that may be hard for outsiders to comprehend

Imagine a place like Gaza which is off the US scale of sadness, & consider why people voted for Hamas, why they'd still support "terrorist" leaders over moderate politicians. It's easy to preach logic & reason, but anger, despair, nihilism are powerful forces on people with little left loose.
December 31, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Yeah, I know it's hard for discouraged people to get enthusiastic about working to maintain what's good & still worth fighting to save, in hopes of future advancement...when the now seems so hopeless. Def a temptation in nihilism...which critical thinking might be able to counteract (?)

I think it really is about stupidity rather than politics. And by that I mean, poor education, poor reading skills, lack of critical thinking skills, inability to reason logically through cause & effect, etc. Imo, anyone who can't find the fallacy in "burn it all down" in about 2 secs is "stupid"

The more people who read or hear Trump's insanity *verbatim*, the better. Part of the problem is that many think he's just another politician (not a psycho) bc they perceive him through editing & filtering of msm (& especially Fox). So that tweet becomes "Trump expressed support for Tina Peters" 😵‍💫

Tina Peters is a criminal. Trump wishes her well. Trump has been pardoning criminals. He has been appointing criminals. He has invited criminals to the White House. He admires Criminals. Criminals are/were his best friends.

He wishes us, citizens of America, people he represents, to rot in hell.

Unfortunately, such behavior at concerts isn't confined to one particular demographic. It's a product of selfishness & disrespect for others, & cuts across every US demographic. Selfish people suck.

And/or they just let everyone who can't afford to live in the new order die for lack of nutrition, vaccination, medical care, housing, clean air & water, etc. That seems to be the agenda of "health & human services" in the Trump admin.

Bad news: Even Medicare is a mess in the US. I'm signing up for it now. Insurance cos have rigged it, too, w lots of gov cooperation. High deductibles & uncapped copays, & many things not covered at all...all designed to steer you toward Medicare Advantage or Medigap insurance plans.

With health, there is way too much scope for grifting because it involves pain, disability and death so they have you over barrel. Both insurance and private health care.
