Google is forcing more generative AI on Gmail users. I couldn’t think of a better moment to finally drop Gmail (and other Google services)!

I have a guide to do just that here: disconnect.blog/getting-off-...

Is there any thought process or set of personal rules behind Trump's bizarre capitalizations? (& do his stand-ins have what amounts to a capitalization guide when messaging as Trump?). For example, if you capitalize "Oil" why wouldn't you also capitalize "people"...or "ships"?

Tina Peters is a criminal. Trump wishes her well. Trump has been pardoning criminals. He has been appointing criminals. He has invited criminals to the White House. He admires Criminals. Criminals are/were his best friends.

He wishes us, citizens of America, people he represents, to rot in hell.

with the power of AI combined with the lucrative online gambling market soon sports won't need to actually take place. we won't need players or arenas. people will wager enormous sums of money on asking chatgpt which team would win. this will ruin lives and be a cornerstone of the US economy in 2026

Juries, and by extension the concept of jury nullification, are the required openness that the laws of incompleteness require.

No formal system, of which the justice system is an example, is both complete and consistent. The jury is the outside perspective required by physics.

Lemme 'splain sonething to you about Donald J. Trump:

He learned from Roy Cohn: you are NEVER wrong; you NEVER make mistakes or give up; you NEVER accept defeat; you lie as needed and if you are then confronted with a tsunami of Reality, you. do. not. budge.

Hypocrisy is the Republican Superpower. That brazen ability, unavailable to those of conscience or integrity, to say or do something entirely contradicted by objective facts or their own previous pronouncements. To say or do anything for immediate, short term, political gain.

Do I have that right?

What will we learn from the Trump years? I'm looking at you Democrats, journalists, lawyers, academics, & businessmen. The blurry storm of everyday idiocy, greed & cruelty warps our ability to think clearly about anything, even the best of us. And it's not the best of us who need to learn the most.

Stabilizing the Earth system remains scientifically possible. History demands a turning point. But that would require some paradigm shifts in our thinking about economics, growth, international politics, etc. Won't happen in time. No way.
