Til that the flamer in Fallout doesn't "make noise" so officially counts as a sneaking weapon.

Yup, I'm sneaking around, roasting enemies that can't "see" me or my fire xD

Slightly bummed that you can't get an official pet death law like the cyberdog and sentinel PA

Then the latter immediately reminds me that Bethesda games have terrible companion AI and, as cool as a Deathclaw companion would be, it'd get in the way like everyone else xD

Starting to think Indeed sucks, they've restricted my account AGAIN for no reason.

Who the hell makes Address 2 mandatory on any form? That's just bloody stupid as not everyone has that
January 6, 2026 at 12:20 PM
Thinking about what I'd drop from job applications and it was between annoying online forms, and cover letters.

I've decided cover letters are the one that should go.

Just read my CV and be done with it e.e

Sometimes Outlook has really dumb ads. Got one today:

"Toilet Cubicles Online - Children's Toilet Cubicles"

Who the hell makes these ads and who the hell decides to serve them to people?

Starting to think that Trump saw what Putin was doing and how nobody was doing anything but sanctions and decided he wanted to have a go too.

Problem is due to the reliance on the US for pretty much everything modern means everyone is fucked if the US got sanctioned

I'm often glad my internal voice doesn't always reach the external part because I was very close to being equally rude to an old lady who told me to move up because people were waiting outside.

It's a chippy with a small customer area that was already quite full

Why am I not surprised that people have started fireworks early?
December 30, 2025 at 8:35 PM
I've noticed a number of AI promoting articles have been popping up again trying to encourage people to use something they don't need to do something in their life.

"I fed all my code to AI!"
"Use AI to help you save money!"
"Use AI to organise your life!"

"Sales Specialist - Prostate Biopsy" is certainly a job title I didn't think existed

Given that, statistically, Brigham is mostly old people, I think Ruth can bugger off with her idea aye?

A four-day week? I’d suggest a 10-day one | Brief letters
Letters: Calendrical revolution | Somalian and US piracy | Writing fatigue | Social media activity | Four stages of life

Trumps Tariffs keep on winning it seems, Roomba has filed for bankruptcy

Fun blood pulling today, one arm didn't wanna give and the other was extra hurty.

Bodies are fun like that

I'm already fed up of doing job searching

One place is just a metric ton of AI jobs, another is mostly dubious "remote" jobs with a wage that's just as sus:

Some offering a "highly competitive" $10k p/a

Some offering $5k-$8k a month

One was offering £45k for a remote admin assistant

Since graduating I'm suddenly getting a lot of IT course recommendations.

Including way too many that basically say "Learn coding to build your own AI slop machine"

No, just no, fuck off. What's the point of learning coding just to add to the AI shite market?

Getting proof of aged for a box of mince pies is a new one on me.

Sure they have a bit of alcohol in them but that's hardly enough to get anyone drunk is it? XD
December 5, 2025 at 1:24 PM
Whoot graduated

And now, back to job hunting
December 4, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Pubs have been shutting for decades because people either don't drink, or are otherwise saving money by going elsewhere, bloody idiots

Seeing lots of "Sleepy Don" posts, should have called him "Dozy Don", works for both meanings as well!

Apparently Putin has been making war with Europe threats again.

I'd like to think his odds aren't very good but you never know these days
December 2, 2025 at 5:52 PM
I'd forgotten about Suckerberg and his AI glasses. There's nothing that would make me even consider buying them (especially as I already need glasses to see clearly so they wouldn't work for me anyway)
December 1, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Now that I'm back to job hunting against it's nice to see stuff hasn't changed much. Several dozen AI trainer jobs plus a few jobs that could maybe do with some revision:

Handyman/woman finisher (there's a few of these)

Warehouseman/woman/forklift driver

Just seen this scenario posed on faceache:

Blue Vs Red

If 50%+ pick blue, nobody dies
If less than 50% pick blue, anyone who picked blue dies
Anyone who picks red won't die

Some claim the red pickers are selfish.

Nah, we just know how people vote against their interests to make others suffer
