That's the other thing, we were constantly told if we didn't like it here, we should leave.

Maybe they should take their own advise, "if you like what's happening over there better, leave"

At this point, anyone looking at what's happening and wanting to be closer to the US, or wanting the same thing in their own country, should just move to the US to experience it all first hand.

They'll also be banned from returning unless they write a detailed essay to prove they learned a lesson

I find myself increasingly tempted to respond with "The cost must be negligible by now with how comfortable they are living rent free in your head" but I didn't think they'd understand the irony of the statement

It just occurred to me that crippling the dollar by cashing in US debt and dumping the reserves would also threaten Musk's position as richest man 🤔

We're at the point where the rest of the sane world should be considering dumping the dollar, giving Trump the finger and just excluding the US from everything.

We're long past the point where we should have started weaning ourselves off the US teat

I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't start threatening to time out while I'm typing, acting up when I'm trying to save what I've entered then just dying after I've finished a section claiming I've not done anything for an hour when I'd only saved changed pages 5 minutes ago.

"You haven't used you GOV UK login for at least an hour"

I'm literally on the website using it right now, I saved the bloody work not long ago!

Course you have to piss around reopening the browser as well or it just sends you in bloody circles

I also really fucking hate it when a website times out while you're fucking using it without warning

UK government websites are utterly shite I tell you

Utter fecking shite

Next stop, mustard gas?

Yeah, I'm wanting to get into hardware but I suspect that's a dwindling field on account of IaaS. It was the highest turnover job at my last place because it was basically just swapping devices if anything went wrong or imaging new devices

I'm of mixed opinion, in a work environment it's typically cheaper and a more efficient use of IT time but I'm also aware of the downsides.

I suppose one good thing is many places seem to prefer laptops and tablets these days over PCs. When desktops are used it's probably thin client terminals.

Interesting, according to some of my fellow IT course participants, it seems a few other people have issues with Indeed and it's over sensitive scanners.

Given Indeed can only manage one email a day, I guess I'll find out tomorrow what happens following my last email.

All I got was yet another cookie cutter response (we reviewed your profile and we ain't lifting the restrictions, soz)

So they now have a formal complaint to deal with since I can't use my Indeed account and they won't abide by my requests for clarity to comply with their arbitrary bollocks

At least this isn't Russia otherwise he'd have to avoid tall buildings with big windows.

Everywhere else seems to prefer "car accidents"
