they believe all of these are "preventable" if they can find some mythical "cause"..which by no evidence but strong belief now they launch all sorts of truly unethical trials/experiments to "prove" things like trans identity/ND etc is "curable". ppl need to get this is genocidal/eugenicist mentality

one solace I take is basically ALL the panic is based in fear/bias/bigotry/hate/LIES etc and takes advantage of genuine ignorance of average people..On the other side in basically all aspects actual FACTS (and compassion/empathy) are on trans folks side and the ignorance can't be maintained forever.

particularly galling imo is how many seem to ignore the UKSC ruling opened the door and EHRC "guidance" attempts to codify trans people, esp men, can potentially be banned from BOTH their transitioned and birth sex facilities/services. it's a campaign to forcibly out and segregate ALL trans/nb folk

yes they absolutely are..however it's absolutely NOT an actually justifiable excuse to abandon their own principles and allow this scapegoating of trans to continue. history doesn't tend to look favorably on those complicit in ostracizing of a minority from society. there does come a time when this isn't merely minor policy disagreement, but actually subjecting yourself to incessant lie-based hatred/manipulative bigoted BS (which they won't hear let alone consider counter-facts) becomes detriment to me and my family..at that point, it's time to say goodbye imo

America is approaching fascism. people need to wake up before it becomes permanent. Institutions like colleges outright capitulation to whims of 1 leader, who somehow has power to unilaterally withhold federal funds based on personal policy preferences, is a KEY historical sign of a fascist nation.

while I agree, I think point might be just how deep into cesspool of hatred/bigotry USA (UK too) has fallen in that if a PotUS (either party) at any point in most our lifetimes said things like this, it'd be covered as if it was outright horrific..it IS "exceptional" how this is now entirely normal

also, imo just a small bit to maybe add there: because Harris was VP at the time, it'd have created its own set of serious issues within dem party should Harris have actively campaigned positions that might be seen as in opposition to what Biden was already doing and she was appointed VP to support

I agree, but also at worst this WILL further ostracize/isolate those like Brianna from support networks while through desperation pushes them to even more dangerous areas of both internet and society. This will INCREASE risk for trans youth. imo? it's actually SICK to use Brianna's murder to do this
