Totally ashamed of how little I’ve been hiking/how little time I’ve spent outside this winter. That’s not usually the case but it’s been SO bitterly cold.

So many people are taking a weird tech fable interpretation from Companion while I think that is very much secondary to the commentary on inceldom/what men can get away with/how men want the world to cater to them.

I feel very middle of the road about almost all 2024 movies I saw. Two or three were things I wish I didn’t watch, two or three I really liked, and everything else was really firmly middle of the road, including lots of the horror I had been counting down for!

Went to the theater to see Get Away and ended up seeing Y2K after because the timing was convenient. Both were enjoyable and I liked Y2K far more than I had expected.

I refused to ever use Threads because it’s subject to the same asinine censorship as Instagram so I’m happy to be on a website that won’t tell me I’m violating community standards for posting a picture in a bathing suit.

I had so many words blocked on X so I wouldn’t come across content I didn’t want to see that my feed was immaculate and I feel like I’m completely starting from scratch here. The only major problem contentwise that I was running into were the weird reiterating/agreeable bots in large post replies.

Good news: any streaming platform with ads is no longer playing political ads
Bad news: for me, the political ads have been replaced with ads for weight loss drugs, sometimes two different providers in one ad break. thanks, I hate it.
