The number of people who believe culture war issues only exist in the media and not in real life sat at 12% in 2020, increased to 22% in 2023 but has now decreased to 17% in 2025

Further to this, those who are most likely to view the media as sowing division are those aged 55+ (68%), Lib Dem voters (82%), and remain voters (77%)

There has been a slight decrease in the number of people who feel the "media often makes our country feel more divided than it really is"

In 2020 it was 77% and today it is 66%
