Not one but TWO bits of positive trans news in the UK today??? What a lovely change for once

The horrors of Grok never cease 🤢

People can now generate videos up to 10 seconds in length using Grok. Given the fact people were using it just a few weeks ago to generate child sexual abuse material such a feature is no doubt a harmful addition to an already actively dangerous tool.

Today (29 Jan) is the very first Rebel Dykes Day ⛓️

💬 "This is an opportunity for DIY Dyke community to come together to create memories, joy, and make space together"

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of speaking with Siobhan Fahey about why it matters 👇
International Rebel Dykes Day is for lesbians who ‘feel like outsiders’
A new international day celebrating dyke culture for everyone who has ever felt like an outsider in the lesbian community is launching.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE 🚨

It was so inspiring to speak with Lindsay Church, a non-binary veteran, about their campaign in Illinois.

They never saw themself as a politician but felt compelled to fight for democracy after the sitting Democrat representative pulled a sneaky ploy to handpick his successor.

Lindsay Church never saw themself as a politician but amid anti-trans rhetoric, ICE and voters being silenced, stranger things have happened.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE 🚨

County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust has confirmed to me that policies around facility use are being reviewed.

But, when I asked if trans staff can continue to safely use single-sex spaces during this review period, the answer I was given was hardly reassuring.
One thing remains unclear for trans staff after NHS tribunal ruling

This applies to the UK media, also, especially the Telegraph, Times Daily Mail, Guardian, Express, Spectator, and BBC
We didn't make everything about us. They did. Compare the Advocate, the oldest and largest LGBTQ newspaper in the US, to Fox and the NYT. Both have been publishing more about us than our own newspapers for 3+ years.

I honestly think the most lesbian thing they ever did on The L Word – outside of all the sex, affairs, U-hauling etc etc – is have a literal funeral for Mr Piddles, Dana's cat

RIP Mr P.

I've just used Good Law Project's tool to email MPs on the Council of Europe and let them know they don’t have to bend down to Sex Matter’s transphobic threats.

The more they hear from us, the harder it’ll be for them to ignore us. goodlaw.social/9f10d1
Stop Sex Matters infiltrating the Council of Europe
In just one week, the Council of Europe will be voting to ban conversion therapy. This would be an incredibly important step to stop the rollback in the rights of LGBTQ+ people. But Sex Matters is inf...

I have never met a transphobic LGB person in real life, across all the queer spaces I have frequented and the people I have spoken to in them.

Transphobic gays are an absolute minority and the loudest people are transphobic straights who claim to speak for LGB people.

LGB with the T, always 🏳️‍⚧️
There's been two Irish "gay" orgs against trans rights. One of them is a friend group of 3 people. The other was a lesbian couple who failed to get "LGB Alliance Ireland" up and running. There is no "enormous pushback" against trans rights from the gay community. There are some cranks. That's it.

It really is insidious that NHS nurses, who are meant to care for everyone equally in that role, were supported in their legal case by an org that describes homosexuality as a “harmful sexual practice”, civil unions and co-habiting as "parodies of marriage" and transition as "causing lasting damage"
