A huge thank you to @thetransfemininereview.com for oranising this! It was a great excuse to get to some books languishing on my list, and I had such a fantastic time seeing what other people were reading- my TBR is even longer now 📚 May 2026 be full of amazing trans reads!

#DecemberTransReadathon is over- bet you thought you'd seen the last of me 😎 I knew things would be busy as the month drew on, so I finished with some more manga, and read all of Wandering Son by Shimura Takako! It's aged surprisingly well, though I was holding out for a T4T happily ever after 💔

For Day 17 of #DecemberTransReadathon I read @razorfemme.bsky.social’s Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars, and I am now very excited to experience more of her work! What a gorgeous command over language, and what a unique read. I would love more recommendations in this vein, should anyone have any.

It’s Day 16 of #DecemberTransReadathon! I’m amazed to have made it over halfway. I’m a bit under the weather, so I have returned to graphic novels for today and read @leeknoxostertag.bsky.social’s The Witch Boy! I really enjoyed the character designs and how the magic was visually represented ✨

For Day 15 of #DecemberTransReadathon I tore through Several People Are Typing by Calvin Kasulke, which I can now say with confidence will feel unsettling and uncanny to anyone who has ever worked at a culty, smallish company that uses Slack. It’s hard to concentrate with all the howling, indeed 🐺

On Day 14 of #DecemberTransReadathon, I finished Woodworking by Emily St. James! I loved how she played with grammatical person. I’ll admit there was a big reveal I saw coming… But it was well foreshadowed and the execution was interesting enough that I still got a lot of out it.

Been a few days since I finished anything, due to business & flitting between reads, but #DecemberTransReadathon continues! Day 13, I finished Little Blue Encyclopedia (for Vivian) by Hazel Jane Plante. I always appreciate a novel that gets experimental with form, and that final page… Lovely.

I forgot to post for Day 9 of #DecemberTransReadathon, but I did read! More specifically, I read The Ajani's Sister by Alek L. Cristea, which has certainly whetted my appetitie for more magical, sword-wielding, middle-aged trans women, please and thank you! ⚔️

Somehow we've made it to the second week of #DecemberTransReadathon 😤 I wanted something shorter for today so I picked up a @johannestevans.bsky.social novella, Archival Management. I'll definitley try to get some more independent reads in before the month is out!

I think you’ll love it! Please feel incredibly free to message me about it once you get round to it, I’d be very curious to hear your thoughts 🖤

Lucky number 7! Today for #DecemberTransReadathon I read Claudine by Riyoko Ikeda. It's fascinating to see how influential Ikeda's style was on the shoujo landscape. The story did not go in the direction I was expecting! Whilst the ending was very of its time, I'm still delighted to have read it.
