A group of ppl in Minneapolis made signs w/ the names & ages of other people killed by ICE to lay at Renee Good's memorial

in order to uplift people whose deaths aren't making national/ international news the same way.

This is to honor what Renee fought for & highlight that they, too, were Good.
Traffic is flowing again, large number of people have dispersed. A small crowd is lingering at the site of the shooting. Media doing interviews.

A sign for Silverio Villegas González, shot and killed by ICE behind the wheel of his car outside Chicago in September, sits in the snow and flowers.

These systems that allow ICE to kill and terrorize communities come from settler colonial law. The same law that stole Indigenous land, and justified other violence, like stealing Indigenous children and putting them into Indian boarding/residential "schools" under the Doctrine of Discovery.

The most stable solution for a better world is creating a society shaped around childhood development — every timeline, every standard, every societal practice, ideology, and expectation, every single space.
Most folks who say “protect kids” don’t actually know what that means/looks like, nor do they work to unlearn their internalized societal misopedia. With love, it’s time to get srs & learn. Every targeted & vulnrenable identity on this earth is carried by children in tandem with being children.

My bear will be two years old next month and she recently started identifying other people (and non people) based off their perceived kinship roles and I think that’s the sweetest. A reminder of life and humanity.

You are entitled to not be a primary caregiver but you are not entitled to a ‘childfree life’ or world.

— What does this mean? Children are family and community members and you have a responsibility to interact with them as safe adults regularly at minimum. We need to do better for children.

Conflict is always at the expense of Native peoples, the land holds the scars of ecological violence and our children inherent the collective damages. Conflict and struggle could and should look different. Imperial terrorism shouldn’t exist. Colonizers will never understand this.

For me, the root of everything is how colonialism has hijacked our biological functioning. My agenda is healing our nervous systems and centering working in our communities to meet the needs of healthy childhood development. A safe world for children is a safe world for us all.

I generally only see ‘children are an oppressed class’ or ‘children are vulnerable’ which are very true and important to say. Hopefully systemic/societal misopedia can be more clearly analyzed and addressed.

Everyday it gets harder to envision the world my children will be growing up in and how I can protect them from it while making sure they’re aware of and able to navigate its realities as whole, healthy, safe people... I want so much better for all children in this world.

Our children are under attack. Children are the most vulnerable humans on the planet. Protect ALL children around you. Be a safe adult. Create a world that values and respects them and their development. Be in community with children. Support caregivers as best you can.

CW // rape

Discussing a collective intolerance for rape is important. Discussing community driven consequences for rape is important. Upholding morals & rejecting rape culture in daily interactions, societal messaging, and spaces is important. ***** to rapists.

CW // rape

Reminder, rape is not a ‘natural’ occurrence of war. It is not a ‘tool’ of war. It is a *deliberate choice* & separate violent action. Rapists in times of war are *not* opportunistic, they have always subscribed to/aligned with rape culture & held rapist intentions.

People don’t even know what’s going on with their local Indigenous communities but have the audacity to tell me they aren’t anti-Indigenous. 🥲
January 10, 2026 at 1:58 AM
Imagining a better world & creating it starts locally imo. Local w/cross community support & coalitions against the state. If the center of our goals is collective liberation for people and the land I think that’s a solid basis of engagement where work can happen.

Trump is undeniably hitlerite and democrats and republicans have set the stage for his administration to exists and function as it does. It’s never been a democrats vs republicans issue, it’s a settler states of amerikkka issue. Land back and cross community defense coalitions is the only answer.

I have seen instances, and would like to believe that cultural responsibilities and connection would align us for collective liberation against white nationalism/capitalism. I recognize existing barriers in our communities we been doing the work to address them.
January 10, 2026 at 1:50 AM
It’s so important to understand that settler colonialism is an ongoing process and center violence against the land when understanding collective liberation. The land is inherently connected to the people.

I do not mourn a colonial future’s lack of existence. I mourn what colonialism has stolen from our past, present, and future. Colonialism has never been sustainable. It has nothing to offer me or a humane and livable future for us all.

Tribal Nations and communities need to get srs about arming our populations and revitalizing warrior militias or creating them. TC may take too long but we need more solidified alliances and treaties with each other across Tribal communities too. May Urban Intertribal Militias rise swiftly.

Advocating for colonial and imperialist statehood to meet the world stage and technological advancements makes me think again of how Native people will always be seen as adversaries and it’s either be tricked by the union or confederacy while we keep genociding Natives anyway.
