Two years of continued and livestreamed genocide following decades of occupation, colonization, ethnic cleansing, and war crimes is sitting heavy in our hearts and souls.

We must continue to fight for liberation beyond fiction. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. 🇵🇸

The Prologue will follow the Hands of the Rift, a historic group of heroes, and their defense of their home, Glimmerwood. And though this is the first and last time we will see them, and though they are forgotten, the echoes of their actions will be felt across the planes for millennia to come.

Now that our heroes are assembled, the time draws near to take you on our tale! Join us on Sunday, November 9th over on our YT channel for Echoes of the Forgotten, Prologue 1: Hand over Hand

Waste not your prayers on our heroes, dear listeners. Their fate is inescapable.

A closed book sits on a wooden desk. Strewn about the desk are a blue potion, a scroll sealed with a black ribbon and red wax seal embossed with a shield design, a candle, a wooden medallion carved with a hand slightly closed around an eye, a vial containing black smoky tendrils that are shaped like hands attempting to claw their way out, and a bronze medal depicting a raised fist, on a red ribbon that says "The Bronze Fist" on it.

To the left of the book are portraits of Ren, Anna Maeve, and Bear. To the right of the book are portraits of Kay, Ian, and Emma.

On the cover of the book are slightly glowing words that say:
"Soup Dumpling Media presents
Echoes of the Forgotten
a legacy D&D 5e audio drama
Premiering Sunday, November 9th"

That wraps up our player posts! Stay tuned tomorrow for our premiere date reveal of Echoes of the Forgotten, our legacy 5e audio drama! We're incredibly hyped to be on this adventure with all our amazing players, and we can't wait to share their story with you all!

Rounding out our roster is our baby barbarian!

🦋A certified wild child and "licensed adventurer", Bertie is here to help! Unless of course you're a bully. Alas, there are some problems best left to be handled by adults...

But then who will save the adults if they all go missing?

A book sits open on a wooden desk. Strewn about the desk are a scroll sealed with a black ribbon and red wax seal embossed with a shield design, a purple gladiolus flower, a tarnished butterfly brooch, and a sweet roll with a bite taken out of it.

The portrait on the left is a brown skinned individual with dark, short, curly hair and short beard, wearing an off white linen shirt. The text reads under the portrait reads "Soup Bear, they/he, soupbear"

The portrait on the right is of a tan skinned girl with curly red hair. She wears a dark blue and gree tricorne hat, a dark blue coat over white shirt, and a green scard. The picture appears to be from the perspective of someone much taller than her. The text under the portrait reads "Berthilde "Bertie" Schur-Oliveira, she/her, Human Barbarian, Path of Wild Magic." There is also a blue crayon drawing of a small cluster of lilac flowers.

In a sea of TTRPG crowdfunders run by white people that shamelessly steal and profit from Asian culture, the Black Market Guide is a MUCH needed breath of fresh air. Now more than ever, we need to support Asian art made by Asian people.

Today’s the last day to pledge: bit.ly/BlackMarketGuide
Black Market Guide to Immortality (A 5e/PF2e Sourcebook)
What are you willing to become for eternal life? The Black Market Guide is a 5e/Pathfinder 2e East Asian sourcebook expanding the worldbuilding of Undying Corruption. Subclasses, ancestries, bestiary,...

As trans creators of color, we’re always on the lookout for cool projects by fellow marginalized artists.

The Black Market Guide to Immortality offers a decadently necromantic setting based on Korean, Chinese, and Japanese mythos — and it’s made by East Asian folks!

ALT: A Way of Transcendence monk sits cross-legged atop a throne of red flesh that unfurls from the unzipped backs of six headless worshipers arranged in a circle underneath them, facing outward, like an organic flower in bloom. The monk is lithe and lean, the top half of their head covered in a flower-like fleshy crown with four staring eyes. Their mouth is visible and smirking. Sleek fleshy armor adorns their torso, shoulders, forearms, and legs in a dark blue color, with exposed organic flesh in a pale white shade. Six small wings unfurl from their back, forming a lotus blossom shape with staring red eyes that point in various directions. Text at the bottom reads: “The Monk. Evolution, immortality, perfection. Maeters.”

A little trickery is always abound with our next cast member 👀

🌙Charming, sly, & more nervous than a long tailed rat in a room full of traps, Sully lives & breathes subterfuge. But someone, or something, has its eye on them...

And the dark is not always the best place to hide.

Vesper will be played by Emma Skinner (who does not have socials at this time)!
soupdumplingmedia.bsky.social
Halfway there!

🙏Our curious cleric, Vesper, burns with a hunger for knowledge of the unknown. So what better place to start his journey than the Feast of Opened Paths?

Ahh but you know what they say about curious cats.. And satisfaction may not be enough to bring this one back.

A book sits open on a wooden desk. Strewn about the desk are a candle, a small bouquet of red spider lilies and asphodel flowers tied together with a violet ribbon, an oval, rose gold pendant with a cursive V embossed on the surface, a stack of dirtied letters held together with a red ribbon addressed to a V. M, though the addressee is cut off, and two glass vials. One vial contains a small, glowing purple gem, and the other contains black smoky tendrils that are shaped like hands attempting to claw their way out. In the book are two portraits. Both portraits are surrounded by circles crackling with magic, and some text in another language.

Kathy will be played by wow_its_ian, who does not have a Bluesky, but can be found elsewhere!

Up next is someone with as much personality as she's got heart.

🌱After a serious scuffle lands her in hot water, Kathy finds some solace digging up soil, and getting back to her roots.

But there are as many buried truths as stars in the sky, and some are best left alone.

In the book are two portraits. The portrait on the left is of a brown skinned individual with medium length, dark, curly hair, wearing a denim jacket over a light blue floral print dress. They are holding up both hands in a "devil horns" or "I love you" sign. The portrait on the right is of a black skinned woman with white hair, in a cream turtleneck, colorful overalls, and a pauldron. She has a very serious expression, on her face. It's finally time for a cast reveal for #EchoesoftheForgotten ! We'll be posting one cast member a day, plus a sneak peak at who they're playing, starting tomorrow (9/29).

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled 👀 it seems our narrator may be less than reliable...

Somewhere in Ystelia, a lone book covered in dark green velvet sits on a desk, collecting dust as years pass. But as heralded by rumblings in the earth, the shifting of tides, and the shadows that sometimes blot out the sun.. something has changed. Something is coming. But what?

#EotF #TTRPG #dnd
A scarred hand with darkened fingertips and wearing a gold ring on their ring finger gently touches a dark green journal embossed with a sprig of forget-me-not flowers. The journal and hand are slightly illuminated by a candle sitting on a gold candle plate in the upper right corner of the desk.

There are white symbols, above text stylized to look like white subtitles on a black background. The subtitles read "-How curious... A new entry has appeared"

From Obojima to Ace of Spades and everywhere in-between, the TTRPG ecosystem is rife with racism, colonialism, and bigotry. We cannot accept white supremacy in our worlds, our games, or our lives.

Give your money to Black, Indigenous, and Japanese people who are *actually* making the art you want.

They raise money on the objectification of my heritage regurgitated out to uncritical consumers.

TTRPGs have long fetishized Japanese culture and this is just another cash in of that.

Do not give them money.

Bad on D&D Beyond for platforming them.

Worse that they're coming back for seconds.

The commodification, oversimplification, and objectification of "Japan-ness" is exemplified by Obojima published by 1985 Games.

It is NOT Japanese.
It is NOT Ghibli-esque.
It is NOT authentic in any way.

They use Japanese culture, history, and media as a costume to create an appropriated fantasy.
