they will have to do even more OTG work in retail spaces and support indie bookstores & comic shops. supporting their authors/artists’ book tours, readings/signings, and send better promotional materials is probably going to be crucial

If you have opportunities to get out and do things with others, jump at the opportunity: meetings, classes, social events, etc... Get out and be with other people. It's essential. If virtual is more convenient, then take advantage of those opportunities to be with other people.

Are there lawsuits coming? Everyone who was fired over exercising their freedom of speech deserves a fat settlement from their employer over it. There is no way this shit is legal. Can we have a little bit of checks and balances still in this country? As a treat?

We're witnessing the most aggressive, fanatical crackdown on free speech in my lifetime. The speed and breadth of government censorship and private sector and nonprofit capitulation has been astonishing. As has the lack of urgency/silence from people who've long claimed to care about this stuff.

And then when the founder of America’s own Hitler Youth Program gets shot and Gretchen sheds no tears for the dead nazi, DC fired Gretchen and cancelled the whole series.

Absolutely surreal. We are missing out on what could have been an amazing series because DC leadership protects nazi feelings.
