Just in: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has identified the people shot in Portland by Border Patrol yesterday. DHS says both are suspected gang members from Venezuela with lengthy criminal histories. OPB could not immediately confirm the allegations.

The Department of Homeland Security said its agent shot at gang members in self-defense. Hundreds protested at Portland’s ICE facility, and hundreds more held a vigil at City Hall.
