I synced up the video from the Johnathan Ross and a bystander to help show what was happening when he fumbled his camera. He was already out of the way at that point and already had his gun drawn. It wasn't him being hit, it was him shooting Renee Good.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

Unfortunately the shooting wasn't in downtown LA this was in the valley in an apartment complex that houses hundreds of peoples. I live in the apartment complex where the shooting took place. Definitely a rough New Years night.
