that writhe through your mind,
and take root in your heart.

Let the flesh of mankind decompose
and the monsters carve themselves free.
I remember it because it just struck me as very funny that in response to me typing up a little essay about how Vaush positioned himself as literally The Patriarch and pushed anti-intellectual lines ("I don't need to read because I already know everything") people responded with 'wow, reading? lame'

it is kind of funny given I remember saying Vaush was a reactionary anti-intellectual with fashy tendencies years ago on twitter, and got a whole lot of 'your argument is too long for me to read so you lose' type replies in response lol

a lot of people repeated very loudly that it was 'efficient resource distribution' while very carefully not explaining what the resource distribution was efficient at

Like this isn't me being mean for the sake of being mean- sometimes people need a reality check, and flunking a class (or even an entire semester of classes!) because you prioritized other things over actually doing the course work can be that reality check. That's literally happened to me! Twice!

I think we need to make stuff more accessible for people who are having difficulties, but it's a mistake to conflate making things accessible with not having any requirements or standards whatsoever. If you take a class and don't do any of the coursework, read the assignments, etc? You should fail.

Well, some of the references seem a little odd. But then, I'm not really one to throw stones, as I'm pretty sure I've referenced both Mao and Che a time or two, which isn't necessarily what you'd expect from an anarchist either.

It does make some references that seem sus, which do make me wonder why an anarchist is referencing, say, Hezbollah as a model for future anarchist projects. It's not necessarily bad to reference non anarchist systems as points of reference- anyone referencing Rojava or the Chiapas is doing so- but.

at a glance it seems like its got some good points about what's necessary for a serious political movement, the situation we're in, etc. but seems a little overly focused on the idea of a revolutionary movement taking and controlling territory I guess?

honestly even if I were the victim of a crime I'd still want a lawyer between me and the cops, because I'm pretty sure that if they thought they could get away with it the average cop would try to get me to confess to my own murder.

like yeah dude I totally believe you're incredibly invested in women's powerlifting, a sport you definitely knew existed a week ago, and will continue to pay attention to three weeks from now.

oh, you also have some arizona beachfront property for sale? tell me more.

like ultimately there's a lot of arguments for decommodification of housing. a commodified and speculative housing market means that the price of housing is untethered from its potential use value and instead tracks with the predicted future value of the asset.

but everyone understands rent sucks.

They basically imagine that without the state the average person will get killed by cannibal raiders within the week, and that the existence of the state is all that holds the barbarians at bay.

It's exceptionally funny given the state legally has no obligation to protect you and will not do so!
