Just think of Ken Griffey Jr.'s swing and take some deep breaths

It's a real bummer that a handful of people who owe their jobs to Trump have the power to overrule everything they do

SCOOP: The Bureau of Land Management says the largest solar project in Nevada — the Esmeralda 7 mega-farm — has been canceled

The news was quietly dropped via a sudden website update with no public word from any of the companies involved or a statement from the agency

Thiessen having a good chuckle about his fired liberal colleagues - some of whom he worked with for 15 years - is a good reminder that token conservatives at mainstream news outlets are/were there to destroy them, not to contribute to them.

I didn't notice the chair at first and thought you were spiraling into the Twilight Zone or maybe caught in a whirlpool -- which I think would be appropriate metaphors for engaging with political news these days, but maybe not what you intended

I think we can all agree that intuitive social skills live in the foreskin

Now that I know this is an option, a Jimmy Carter themed party for my 39th birthday sounds pretty great. We can rock out to the Allman Brothers, eat a shitload of peanuts, gather in a circle and admit the lust in our hearts...

The original movie plus a continuing series of Scrat shorts would have been ideal

Wow, I can't believe you don't appreciate the comedy genius of Fat Bastard, a classic character who is hilariously both fat and a bastard

I thought part of the reason for continuing the show was to keep the crew employed? Hard to see how all the behind-the-scenes people are going to make a living only doing this many shows, unless ESPN has them all salaried whether or not they're actually working.

I knew Paul was dead but apparently they replaced the whole damn band

I'm sure they would say that as long as what they're doing is legal, they're playing by the same rules as everyone else and it's the lawmakers' jobs to make sure the system is fair. That does make a certain type of sense, but it's also a handy argument for outsourcing your morals to politicians.

Is this an ad or are you just that passionate about Amazon?

I guess I feel a little weird calling a nonwhite person a white supremacist, but I agree that practically there's no difference between a true believer and a nonideological person who cravenly goes along with it for personal gain if their actions are the same.

This particular guy might not be a white supremacist exactly, but he's willing to work toward the same goals in exchange for some cash and the privilege of being an oppressor rather than oppressed.

Is this a "watch out for flying popcorn" situation?

I assume they were told something like "Presidential pardons make everything legal"

The district courts as a whole are doing heroic work to stand up to wild abuses of executive power. It's a tragedy that SCOTUS doesn't have their backs.

Very interested to hear his theory on how "the Republic itself" might fall if they can't send a couple hundred guys to stand around in Portland
