As a passionate writer and someone with a background in art, it is genuinely soul crushing to me that this is even being considered. AI steals the work of creatives, end of. Wanting to destroy the protections of rights holders for the sake of 'investment' and 'growth' is pure, unbridled greed.
Today, the UK government announced a proposal to change copyright law - for the benefit of AI companies - that would cause huge, irreversible harm to creators.
