Made a pirate version of the cargo ship and also started working on a long range AWACS style ship (that I call in game SWACS)

It's nearly the end of the year so I wanted to reflect on my progress over the yearish. I started working more and more on my #indiegame and while I still have a lot to learn as a #gamedev I look forward to a year of mistakes, progress, and learning.

The Brigantine class, is the largest official class of ship currently serving the handful of remaining pirate coves hiding in the outer fringes of Sol. The destroyer boasts a heft armament of 24 Class C dual barrel rail cannons, and two VLS fed by a rotary magazine each allowing continuous fire.

Still recovering from some dental surgery but still cranking away at my game. I'm loving the new destruction and the marine boarding craft still needs to be textured/tweaked but it's also coming together

Yeah it is a bit circular but unfortunately until it becomes easier to release on Macs it'll probably stay that way. Also based on the most recent steam hardware survey it's gone up a small amount this year but is still around ~1%

How do you come up with features? I find I tend to look either at what other games do or I'll look at their communities to see what they are asking for. For example my repair system is a simplified version of Nebulous Fleet Command's system but with a bit more player agency.
