Yep! It was pretty wild. We were all aware of the launch later that day and he made the drawing before the first bell rang that morning. I was in a different class, so I didn't see it until lunchtime, but he was pretty shook up, thinking he had somehow predicted/caused the disaster.

Yeah, I read through some of the rules, maybe create a character, get a feeling for the world, and use that to inspire other projects. This one in particular seemed like a really fun concept! I could absolutely see it as a comic or animation!

I collect read-along record books (and have a podcast about them: www.spacemonkeyx.net/series/wyhts/). There are a handful of expensive Grail records that came out as the format was dying, but the heyday ones average ~$10. This is a heyday record (but a good one).
