centrists like to use terminology disputes as a proxy battle for actual policy fights, and engaging is often fruitless. if you don’t like the slogan use something else. but the agency needs to be hollowed out, every existing agent needs to be put on no-hire lists, and there need to be prosecutions.

Democrats are in the role of the French leaders who surrendered to the Nazis and fled. They don't understand that the entire world and all their voters are looking for a de Gaulle, not because they think he would instantly defeat Trump, but because at least he's on the right side.

How can we reduce the power and influence of reactionary centrists? One obvious mechanism is sunlight, which you're both providing. What else? If it helps, the more specific question is how to reduce their influence ON THE LEFT. If they can't influence Democrats, they don't serve the right.

I think you're saying that you disagreed with half the things. Could you specify what you disagree with and the reasons why? If you're instead referring to factual errors, please call those out as well.

The reason we cannot seem to take Trump seriously is because so many of our leaders, bizarrely, want to attack his authoritarianism as some kind of flimsy performance, which then prevents them from saying the authoritarianism IS AUTHORITARIANISM

Thing is, the liberals who read these books don't want to hear dumb & simple. They don't want to hear that the way to solve it is simply to fight. They want to hear a) it's very complicated & they're very clever for getting it, and b) it's their fault in some way, so their self-hatred is justified.
