I was awake during surgery on my leg. They did so in the Emergency Care where the TV was on in the corner playing Fairly Odd Parents are like 20% volume. I now carry the trauma of surgeons picking at my numb leg with scalpels I couldn't feel while hearing the Fairly Odd Parents theme song playing.
