I wonder if Ben is going to hold trump’s supporters to a different standard just like he does for trump.

Yea this is absolutely crazy. There are actual people detailing death threats to celebrities and elected officials but this is what her local police are out here doing? Any defense attorney worth their salt gets this dropped.

That second response is honestly gold and I'm definitely stealing it.

The most profitable businesses are Energy, finance and tech (www.lanereport.com/170700/2024/...). Annoyed to say that I'm not defending "health insurance" but if this is the claim in the meme, it's wrong.
Fortune 500 made $2.9T in profits in 2023, 38% of it in the U.S.
A recent study on the 2023 Fortune 500 reveals that these global companies amassed a colossal $2.9 trillion in profit

So other regents had a singular protest at their homes where dolls were left and I think some graffiti. Without any evidence to the contrary that the media is hiding events that happened to other members...this really just looks like antisemitism.

...ethnicity as a Jew. When we consider racism against black people,we compare how a black person is treated in comparison to a white person. If the treatment is disproportionate,we'd easily call it racist. But y'all are out here willingly ignoring it.

Similar vandalism is really a stretch. Yes, both people had gotten spray painted with free Palestine slogans once.

Acker was hit 3 times, had his car window broken, a jar of piss thrown and his personal firm vandalized. I'm just pointing out that Acker is facing a different reaction for his...
December 11, 2024 at 2:51 PM
Wouldn't that mean you'd have to prove that it's not antisemitism by pointing to something? 5/8 regents members are lawyers but it's just Acker that was targeted.

And on top of that the board voted to not divest. That means at least 5 voted, but again it's just Acker.
December 10, 2024 at 8:08 PM
As far as I can tell from the research I did, it didn't seem like they excluded other protests on members of the board of regents. There were protests in May, and then Acker continued to receive protests beyond those. Once in June, and again now.

With that , this seems more like antisemitism...?
December 10, 2024 at 7:42 PM
Being inequally targeted because of his ethnicity, because he's Jewish would imply that being Jewish is worthy of additional hate. Antisemitism.
December 10, 2024 at 3:31 PM
So to clarify, they protested outside of other regents which is fine, but what makes it antisemitic is that he's been targeted excessively for his ethnicity. In the article it says he's been targeted personally 3 times including actual destruction of his home and firm.
December 10, 2024 at 3:29 PM
So specifically what makes it antisemitic is that only a Jewish member of the board of regents was targeted. Why is a Jewish person in Michigan responsible for the actions of Israelis?
December 10, 2024 at 3:14 PM
I'm sorry, but WTF is this? A picture of a screen with like 14 different things that don't make sense. Article 5? Are we creating an amendment? Why would the secretary of defense announce this? And somehow it's linked to Assad?

People take a second to review what you read online...

Woke : Not making legislation turning people into your secret police.

Broke : paying people $1000 to turn in undocumented immigrants

Bespoke :paying people $1000 to turn in people parking in bike lanes.
December 8, 2024 at 11:29 PM
It's a bit of a callous thought, but that clearly created a market failure. Train companies didn't carry appropriate insurance to cover the risk which led to them being unable to cover the costs of cleanup and restitution for people harmed.

Therefore, it shouldn't have been cut.
December 7, 2024 at 12:07 AM
Let's cut zoning regulations and minimum parking regulations that harm folks who can't afford or are unable to drive.

Regulations aren't good or bad, they're just a tool we need to use appropriately.

Question, but what part of the pardon itself is a "faithless execution" of presidential duties? Is it because he pardoned his son

Yea my bad. Hence the quick delete. Super sorry!
