I'd be checking out who commissions/writes such lists of cringe 'dated' trends of any sort. Smacks of commercial rivalry to me. Ignore them.

If they fall off when you sneeze/blow your nose, then they need tightening on the arms (any optician should do this for free). Just don't cry in the damn things.
