There has been a lot of chatter today about Zelenskyy's meeting with Trump, some regarding this moment when White House correspondent Brian Glenn asked if the Ukrainian president plans to wear a suit. I want to address idea in this thread. 🧵

Republicans own every disaster Pete Hegseth causes for eternity. A reckless choice. Someone who is susceptible to blackmail, with a slew of serious allegations against him. What an abomination.

Brandolini’s law
Italian programmer Alberto Brandolini stated: “The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.” This law, also called the Bullshit Asymmetry Principle, explains why fact-checking of political lies is a losing game.

Wish I could say that the people normalising Trump this morning will regret it, but they won't. It's like being in Groundhog Day. They already normalised him, then acted shocked when he tried to overthrow US democracy, and now, with the memory of a fucking goldfish, they're doing it all over again.

Lots of reaction statements from Congressional Democrats... not seeing reaction from Senate Republicans to the Trump pardons

For example, Rep Dan Goldman (D-NY)

"These inexcusable and blasphemous pardons are an assault on the rule of law, an insult to the brave men and women in law enforcement"

This how you normalize fascism. Trump pardons 1500 violent extremists who tried to subvert American democracy, and it was just part of a busy day. He must be so tired!

BREAKING -- Trump RAISES prescription drug costs.

He just reversed all the cost caps that had been negotiated for anyone on Medicare or Medicaid -- over 120 MILLION Americans.

He's pro Big Pharma -- and pro Big Insurance.

He doesn't care about you. It was all LIES.

New in PN: The "find out" phase begins

They win when you:

- lose hope
- give up
- become cynical and withdraw
- keep silent to stay off their radar

Don't let them win.
