I read this poem by him this morning. Robins are indeed well worth contemplating

I repotted this (and with better soil for a cyclamen) and it has rewarded me in the middle of winter. Plants are top-notch.

I wasn't expecting this chapter in My Name is Red yet here it is. I'll be sad when this book is over.

I saw that artwork in person last week. It's incredibly detailed and not very large. It's perfect. Wonderful quote to pair it with.

I wondered what Lolly Willowes would be like reading the second time around. Would it be just as good? Yes, possibly more so. It's utterly delightful and I'm so glad to be reading it again. #NYRBWomen26

Yoko Ono, Painting in Three Stanzas

Let a vine grow.
Water every day.
The first stanza - till the vine spreads.
The second stanza - till the vine withers.
The third stanza- till the wall vanished.

Yoko Ono's exhibit at the MCA is a breath of fresh air. One of my favorite parts was when she sold pieces of mornings, each a shard of glass.

Dreamy snowy day in downtown Chicago. Clouds wrap and unwrap the skyscrapers; the tallest one in the back is completely shrouded.

The very odd thing about making candied citrus peel (this is from a few clementines; we've been eating so many) is that I made candy from something I usually throw away. And now I'm going to mix this candy into a shortbread batter.

Finally! A moment of peace and quiet to look through the Chaucer Colouring Book. Oh to be a medieval owl.

I don't think these paperwhite bulbs will bloom during the holidays but that's fine as long as they do bloom. It's been such a brutal winter already. Flowers are a must!
