I love Bowser’s Fury, I think it’s better than 3D World. I love being able to just blast through a collectathon Mario comfortably in a sitting. The way the open world works with updating the areas you’re not currently at is so cool, I hope the next game pulls tricks like that.

Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey is an absolutely insane movie and I love it, but among all the craziness the single most realistic thing about it is that even if we someday obtain a utopia free of suffering there will be people who want there to be suffering, and that is most non-non-non-non heinous.

After seeing the new movie last year I decided to try and watch every single episode of SpongeBob SquarePants ever, starting with the ones I know by heart of course. Finished Season 1 before the calendar changed and Season 2 today. Absolutely legendary run, all killer no filler

The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is the best SpongeBob movie I’ve seen since the original (and also the only one I’ve seen). It’s pretty good! Plenty of laughs and great animation, Mark Hamill as the Flying Dutchman took me a sec to get used to but he’s always great.

Getting a new game in this series in 2025 feels wild, and Once Upon a Katamari lives up to its name. The King of All Cosmos has destroyed the universe again and this time we need to do some time travel to fix it, which is a fun new twist on the formula. Plenty of new ideas make this game roll well

Another Crab’s Treasure’s cutsy appearance belies a challenging game with a surprisingly dour story, though not without its charming if cynical humor. It really is Crab Dark Souls with the fun shell mechanic keeping things interesting. And if it gets too hard you can just give Kril a gun

Zootopia 2 was worth it for a new Patrick Warburton performance alone lol. Movie’s real fun, a zoo’s worth of animal puns and a story about how the rich and powerful manipulate the masses with racism to gain more wealth, not at all familiar in this day and age eh?

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment might be the best game yet in this little sub series. Gameplay is refined even further from AoC and the story rises far above what you’d expect from a Musou. The characters are all fun to play, there’s a ton to do, and it actually uses Zelda music well!
