How ****ing insane was Ben Franklin? He felt the same way I do about taxing excess wealth.

Here’s some data: average people are more generous in charitable donations than the super-rich. That’s why there needs to be a wealth tax.

One of Jack Vance’s series, the Lyonesse trilogy for fantasy and, for SF, either the Demon Princes or Tschai.

Also SF: Larry Niven’s Known Space novels would provide rich material for series treatment.

Uh-huh. And that’s why we have historically high — off-the-fucking-charts high — wealth disparity. A disparity that, not coincidentally, started with Reagan. From 1945 on, the debt/GDP was on a downward trajectory, on a track to be paid off. Reagan/Bush tripled the debt in 12 years.

DIAF, Republicans.

It most definitely has a tax problem. If we were to boost the top marginal rate to what it was in the 1950s, deficits would drop and we could start paying off the debt.

Wow. That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. A DOJ giant compared to the midgets who run the place now.

Unfortunately, we all know it’ll be labeled “fake” by the Nazis in Washington and the 25-30% of Americans who scrape their knuckles when they walk will believe it. And they’ll make death threats to any Republican who dares to hold Orange Sh*tstain to account.
