I often included teeth in my art, but it wasn’t until I had a daughter that I made sure they were all fangs

A fanged mouth is surrounded by green scaly petals. Some fangs are sparkly gold, most are white. Metallic/iridescent blue butterflies spew from the mouth, which has a rainbow in the throat

Wormlandia, 2018
This was my first big piece after I had kids and had been out of the studio for about a decade, working and raising them. My youngest was barely two and I worked on this from 9pm-2am for weeks, with many interruptions.
It’s 4ft tall and sold opening night.
Art always waits 🌈

I like to draw recklessly with only Ticonderogas on cheap paper and zero plan
but this time I made a zine layout first AND THEN I drew recklessly within that layout. Loophole’d myself into a project. I had to order more paper but these will proliferate 🚀🚀🚀

From my Emotional Domes series. These were put in tiny glass cloches. They were either super happy or super grumpy. The super happy friends sold out much quicker than the grumps. I personally identify as a grump

A tiny army of bees and flowers and slugs and snails and mushrooms, all sculpted in fluffy air dry clay. They are anthropomorphic and either grumpy or ecstatic. The colors are vivid rainbow with lots of green. If they made sounds you would hear AW YEAH or HMPH

I’ve tried just about every sculpting compound there is, and this one by far offers the highest ceiling for me for nonfunctional sculpts. I can go real big, it’s nontoxic and compatible with a lot of materials. And dries super fast. On my site in my bio you can see all the work I’ve done with it 🌈

I am a chronic migraine/POTs human and at the time I made this, I was constantly sick and in pain. I have great meds now but it’s taken decades 🫠
