I'd also like to point out that being born with privilege and then having it ripped away from you can put you in a worse situation than no privilege in the first place because then you've not gotten a chance to learn to adapt.
Two things are true:
- being born into wealth confers immense privilege,
AND
- the privilege conferred by being born into wealth is incredibly conditional and can be revoked at the whim of a tyrannical parent.

This is probably fake for multiple reasons. Most obviously: we've never had 2 indie games. Always exactly 1. That can change, but I don't think this is the year it will.
