When I got home I worshipped the porcelain god so hard I thought I was regurgitating my organs. I have never consumed those spirits again and recounting this story now makes me want to barf all over again.

This is only the second year that the Redemptorists have published a daily devotional but I hope they continue because it’s the only devotional I’ve kept up with, outside of The Upper Room Disciplines. Breaking Open the Word is always relevant to the day and invites me to do and be better.
