A formline design of a howling wolf in grey, black, and gradients of purple and blue. Bright blue-cyan lightning is striking the ground behind the wolf.

Nice work on the seed pods
Are those the specific type of cones that look like a mouse got stuck in them, which created some (indigenous?) lore? Or maybe several cones look like that?

I know you love pine ones, since they’re in all the IPAs you like… LOL

Activism during literal fascism is probably not a thing you want to rsvp for or even talk about on a public forum like social media. Extrapolate as you will

An 8x8 inch art print of a symmetrical formline raven, coloured black with cascading rainbow highlights on their wings, head crest, and beak. The raven forms a heart shape. A formline design of a butterfly cocoon and a butterfly, coloured in blue, pink, and white. On one half of the chrysalis is a human face, and the butterfly’s wings are formed of human hands.

Because it feels relevant as we continue to evaluate the media and our representatives’ statements, my favorite way to identify the active vs. passive voice.
A post by Rebecca Johnson:
“I finally learned how to teach my guys to ID the passive voice. If you can insert "by zombies" after the verb, you have passive voice.”

A tumblr respond from mightymur:
“The final, brilliant word on passive voice.
"She was killed [by zombies.]"<--passive
"Zombies killed [by zombies] her." <-- active”

Done with the walk. Sore and tired. Legs hurt, feet hurt and I have a small blister forming. No critical injuries, just walking slow. Finished the walk in 9.5 hours for what worked out to be 25 miles, with stops. That’s in line with other years, I think

Made it over heartbreak hill, taking a much needed break. 6.5 miles to go, some down hill, but also getting into Boston and busy foot traffic , which is annoying. We’re getting it done though

14 miles in at the lunch stop. We’ve been making around 3.5 miles an hour, a little less with stops. Definitely starting to feel it, now so the last half is going to be slower. Hope to hit heartbreak hill before the peak heat of the day.

One table at a refueling station for the walk had LGBTQA+ pins. Nice inclusion, likely by one of the volunteers doing it as a side thing. I chose the unicorn, it’s fun.
