My sister asked me to bring these cherished childhood books home. The Mother West Wind story series by Thornton Burgess.

She wants to read them to mom and hopes my 7 year old grandnephew will like them too

Time is a circle …

Bad, boring plot, but I’m digging the props and these goofy robots

The Shape of Things to Come (1979) trying to pick up some of those Star Wars scraps, not a good movie, but goofy fun and the sets add props are good. Plus Jack Palance

Something cool. I’ve been using Obsidian to organize notes for knowledge management and journaling. They just recently rolled out core functionality for map views, which will be very fun to populate all my vacations info.

It’s a free tool, text based and local control of notes

Random fun thing, the Red Cross was giving out gifts for a blood donation today. They had these Pac-Man themed socks, with cartoon blood drops and red-cross power pellets amongst the ghosts. Silly, but I dig it.

Also the skeleton at the checkin desk was fun.

Turkey Day is coming

Just spotted the flock near my house. Always great to see them.

Late to the party, but I just finished watching Michael Flanagan’s Midnight Mass. Wow, good slow burn and then a heck of a ride at the end.

Good mix of horror and drama and I liked how they worked with faith in the story; it did not feel cheap.

Neighbors always put on a great yard display. I also love how dragons are now part of the Halloween canon

Autumn in glass

Troubles moonshine is decent flavored whiskey, I like the mix of fall/autumn spices

Upper 60s today, beautiful autumn day to be out. I did a nice walk on the Nashua River Rail Trail.

I don’t know if this pumpkin patch is sincere enough …

Always a favorite to look for

One table at a refueling station for the walk had LGBTQA+ pins. Nice inclusion, likely by one of the volunteers doing it as a side thing. I chose the unicorn, it’s fun.
