How it feels to be an indie artist

Comic with a sunglass-wearing bat representing me, the author, saying "Like I always Say: "If you want to win the lottery, you first have to earn the money to pay your Rent." and a scarfed femme figure saying "Dude, are you OK? You're miss-quoting Nightcrawler" which is a reference to the sociopathic protagonist's line "You have to earn the money to buy the ticket" which is some sorta online business school catchphrase expressing the protagonist's fixation on money and "self-reliance" as he coerces, steals, and breaks every ethical boundary to get power and fame. While the author does not actually feel that they've sunk to the protagonist of drive's level, they must admit it's a catchy line.

Marooned should be out mid-Fall. Either later this month or early next month. The art’s all done for it, all that needs doing is layout & final touches. 😌 it went thru several iterations & names (& features rare unreleased pre-digital art!). We’ll share more as we get closer to its release date.
