I think it's also a suburban/driving-everywhere thing. The nice things about cities are often only accessible / obvious if you're on foot or pubic transport.

All good thanks, yup, it's lethal badly needs an upgrade but I'd imagine if the bus connect objections from some of the businesses (the pharmacy comes to mind of all places)are anything to go it'll be hard fought
