Ad vent

(I'm too proud of this joke. I may well post this again on December 1st)
Chimney-like vent at street level. The remnants of so many posters are stuck to it that it looks to be made of papier mache

#OTD 45 years ago (7 Oct 1980) according to my diary, I drew these images for the Hitchhiker's Guide BBC TV series. Douglas Adams as both the ad exec and as Paula, the worst poet in the universe. I was 19 years old and having fun.

I was stood in a queue at the Media City recording of Antiques Roadshow. To one side, they were doing a bit about a Blue Peter anniversary & AT was there. The woman behind me in the queue told me she worked at the BBC & that, offscreen, she was one of the most unpleasant people she'd come across.

As we all know, Gene Roddenberry was a worshipper of Azathoth. He used his knowledge (and the Star Trek costume department) to give form and vessel to the Nameless Mist. The Mist now watches TOS and TNG, awaiting their union with Azathoth and the birth of Yog Sothoth
