I travel, ride bicycles, drink whiskey, and occasionally work to pay for it all.

Given events in the past 24 hours, it might have been helpful for the United States to be able to speak to Iranians in Farsi, their official language.

But the incompetent children at Doge dismantled Voice of America, cutting off that communication and ultimately not saving the US a penny.
USAGM today urgently called back to work the staff of the Voice of America's Farsi language service. All had been on paid admin leave for the past three months with the rest of VOA's silenced journalists.

Kamala Harris in October: “[Trump] considers any American who doesn’t support him or bend to his will to be an enemy to our country, and further, he says that as commander-in-chief, he would use our military to go after them.”

Remember when this pic of Elián González was a national scandal instead of a daily occurrence?

My #tdaroe bicycle tour in Algeria, Tunisia, and Sicily is over and I’ve secured my next contract (back at the same hospital I was just at 😆).

Plus the 2025 travel plans are coming together nicely: South Africa is officially happening.

Next up? BEYONCÉ!

"There’s no reason to believe that TAKE IT DOWN won’t be similarly exploited to go after sex workers and LGBTQ+ users, as well as anyone who posts an image or animation that another user simply doesn’t like and decides to report... It’s a danger that too few Americans understand."
Congress Passed a Sweeping Free-Speech Crackdown—and No One’s Talking About It
The TAKE IT DOWN Act passed with bipartisan support and glowing coverage. Experts warn that it threatens the very users it claims to protect.

Man who had a student kidnapped and trafficked because she wrote something he didn't like yuks it up with man who had a journalist dismembered with a hacksaw because he wrote things the man didn't like.

Reposting to save for later bc I have A LOT of thoughts about this & bribes in general.
If you don't think America is corrupt, Pam Bondi, the Florida Attorney General who took a bribe, was sworn in as the US Attorney General by Clarence Thomas, a SCOTUS Justice who routinely takes bribes.

Since my last post, I’ve quit a contract, ridden a bicycle from Cairo to Cape Town (with a flight from Egypt to Rwanda), started a new contract that’s almost over and booked several more trips.

And I’m still confused by Bluesky 😂

Bless my first post on Bluesky, but I am so thoroughly confused right now, lmao.
