And ofc later was forced out of Academia by his tyrant mother and under the naval command of his father, Saevar. They'd fight in the Troll-Kaldorei wars, where Saevar would eventually die leaving an inexperienced Ashe to command (and lose) the Da'vahni fleet.

I THINK he woulda fallen initially into deep study of Titan ruins and relics - which lead him to Uldum and initially the Tol'vir and later (probably) the farakki/gurubashi. Probably left before the aqir-troll wars kicked off, not wanting to get involved in conflicts outside of the Azsharan Empire.

I really like the idea of him learning the foundations of his craft from trolls, and exploring the idea of ancient troll-kaldorei interaction and relationships before war and colonization RUINED any and all possibility for positive cultural exchanges.v
