tbh /overall/ i think the anime is a, like..good enough adaptation for the manga. hope isnt dead totally. im just mad because im a single-issue voter for cater and they did him dirty here

speaking of chenya its interesting seeing his grief too about being cut off from riddle, in the flashback reactions. sad cat with flat ears and a droopy tail. chenya doesnt show sadness often, so its something, for sure

and like sure you dont see that many student onscreen in the game but its a different format. and for the dorm turning on riddle next episode to feel like a proper explosion, it has to be a Lot of people. i hope the rest of the dorm just teleports in i guess

right!! why would this rando be brave enough to approach riddle like that in the first place. its a characterization thing that cater is trying to keep things on schedule to smooth them over as soon as possible after the kerfuffle ends.

in the game (and manga, and novel) cater is the one who reminds riddle that teatime is at 4 pm, and that theyre coming close to it giving the duel time. its a small thing but there was no reason he couldnt have been the one to say it here too

ive been politely overlooking most cater-related cuts because, okay, this being eight episodes means they need to really condense things to fit them in. i understand. i am reasonable. but this wasnt even a cut!! they could have had cater keep his own dialogue!! they just chose not to!!!!
