Last few days worth of stats for the Liverpool November Writing Challenge! I've now entered the fully handwritten section of the project - the rewritten ending. Halfway through Ch.25 of 30. #amwriting #nanowrimo #fantasyromance

Trying to write when I have a purring dingus on my shoulder (guest-starring my fluorescent green bedhead)

Current read: The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst! I was looking for something nice and cosy after Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries and Paladin's Grace. It took me a few sittings to properly get into, but it hooked me around Chapter Eight! #cosyfantasy #fantasyromance #amreading

Liverpool November Writing Challenge, Day 13. Five chapters to go. Weaving in material from two notebooks. Getting to a point where I'll be exclusively handwriting, which means bike rides to local cafes with my book. I'm feeling really good about things! #amwriting #nanowrimo

Liverpool November Writing Challenge Day 11. Six chapters to go. Making gargantuan steps every day. I desperately hope I can finish this draft by mid-December so I can take a break for a bit, even if I'm having a great time :') #amwriting #nanowrimo

Decent slathering of mist (and screaming owls) turned my ride to work into a folk horror setting

Popped into the St Helens Book Stop for some retail therapy after actual therapy made me cry!! (Productive tears dw I needed to get em out). House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, and Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree!

Today's writing for the Liverpool November Writing Challenge is powered by flu meds and fairy lights! Screw you, dark nights and flu season! Also, I reckon it's only going to a few more days before I venture into that much anticipated, heavily rewritten ending. #amwriting #nanowrimo

This year I'm squaring up to the SAD with full ferocity

Sadness allowed, the healing power of whimsy and joy strongly encouraged

Doing stuff like this in my journal has legitimately helped keep me sane this year. 2025 has been incredibly difficult, but there's little bits of goodness on even the most bleak days. Sometimes I've gotta go out there and make that goodness myself, which feels pretty powerful

I may be producing ludicrous amounts of green goo from my face, but I'm also producing ludicrous amounts of words! #NaNoWriMo #amwriting #fantasy #romance

Day 5 of the Liverpool November Writing Challenge (aka our regional co-opted version of the event formerly known as #NaNoWriMo), and going strong! 11596 for the month, 144062 total. I'm thinking about starting to release illustrated chapters to Patreon next year 👀 #amwriting

Today's read: Paladin's Grace, by T. Kingfisher. Finished in pretty much one sitting, had me giggling and kicking my feet like a teenage girl, 10/10 a great time

This FOUL AND WRETCHED BEAST woke me up at 6:30am walking across my desk and noisily kicking ten bells outta everything in his path, now he gets to sleep all day while I go earn money to pay for his scran

My current read: Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries, by Heather Fawcett. One of my absolute favourite things to write is nerds doing field research, and this book is all about that. It's cosy and intriguing, and the dynamic between the main characters is utterly delightful.
