Selby is interviewed by Burstyn in one of the blu-ray special features. Very interesting person, interviewed by a very interesting person.

The Alan Moore mentions happen during a special feature on the blu-ray, not the movie itself. There is a Swamp Thing in the movie, though.

I could assume...no, I should look at the credits before assuming Bissette/Totleben and predecessors weren't mentioned.

"Ship it, then fix it." This was the method of hardware/software distribution for at least one employer.

Hardware was to receive firmware updates, which alas some never do. If software, there were updates one is forced to accept or ignore.

Imagine if cell phones got recalls like cars.

Recently, I replaced an 18-year-old car with a new one.

For months I reached for the key hole to turn on/off the car.

Once, when oot and aboot and tired, I panicked, 'cause there was nowhere to put a key. Recovered, drove home, and wondered why the keys weren't in the ignition.

Texas politicians won't use the money to prevent floods. They opposed lifesaving funds from the Biden administration: 'one citizen called the White House a "criminal treasonous communist government"'. www.latintimes.com/flooded-texa...
They took that $$, didn't use it to save lives.

When I did this (1980s), they put capital letters in the wrong place. I got that fixed, but then they put a space in the name. I was lucky they didn't put in a dash. They wouldn't fix the space.

Now I'm retired. SS payments are surprisingly OK. Check your name online, and often.

Oh dear.

The comments made me skip to the end. The audience applauded. That made me feel better about those poor guys.

More of this, please. It's interesting. I'm about 200 pages into Marx's (das) Capital, at the point where human labor --> commodity --> the money form --> capital. It's economics, whereas this is sociopolitical, and I've not read Ricardo...but this is curious.
